Weber Spirit E-310 Review
The Spirit E-310 is the default mid-tier gas grill recommendation for households of three to five. Three burners, even heat, and Weber's long warranty make it a safe, durable buy.
This review is based on manufacturer specifications, warranty details, retailer documentation, and category fit. It does not claim hands-on testing.
Verdict
If you want one gas grill recommendation that will satisfy most American households for the next decade, the Weber Spirit E-310 is it. It's not flashy and it doesn't have a sear burner, but it's reliable, well-built, and supported by the largest parts ecosystem in the category.
Editorial rating: 4.4 / 5. Editorial rating based on published specs, warranty terms, and category fit. Not based on hands-on testing.
What we like
The Spirit E-310 is the model that earned Weber its reputation. Three burners deliver even heat across a 424 sq in primary cook area. Cast iron grates take and hold sear marks. The 10-year warranty on burners and flavorizer bars signals what Weber expects: a decade of regular use.
The build quality is the headline. Porcelain-enameled steel lid, cast iron grates, and a sealed firebox give the Spirit a cooking experience that budget grills miss. Heat distribution is even — you won’t see the hot/cold banding common in cheaper four-burner grills.
What we don’t
No sear burner. Side table real estate is modest. The cart finish is paint, not stainless, and shows wear after a few years if uncovered.
The E-310 lacks the newer LED knob lighting and digital thermometer on the 2023+ refresh of the Genesis. If those features matter, plan to step up.
Best for
Households of three to five who grill weekly and want a single gas grill that will last the decade.
Avoid if
You cook for groups of eight or more on a regular basis (step up to the Genesis), if smoky wood flavor matters (look at pellet or charcoal), or if you don’t have a covered storage spot for the grill.
Setup and assembly
About 90 minutes of assembly out of the box. The wheels and side tables attach last. A second person makes the work easier but isn’t required.
Long-term ownership
Weber’s replacement parts ecosystem is the largest in the category. Burners, flavorizer bars, ignitor modules, and grates are all available from hardware stores, Weber direct, and online retailers. A 5–7 year refresh ($60–$120 in parts) typically restores the grill to like-new performance.

Frequently asked questions
Spirit E-310 vs Genesis E-325s — which should I buy?
The Genesis is the upgrade if you want larger cook area, higher BTU output, and (on some variants) a sear burner. The Spirit is the right pick if your household is under five people and you don't need premium stainless. The Genesis costs roughly 50% more.
Is the E-330 worth the upgrade over E-310?
The E-330 adds a side burner. If you regularly cook sauces or sides outdoors, yes. If not, the E-310 saves you about $100 with no cooking compromise.
How long does a Spirit E-310 last?
With covered storage and seasonal cleaning, expect 10–12 years. Burners and flavorizer bars are covered for 10 years; grates are covered for 5 years. Replacement parts are widely available.
